Marvel Comics presents the new Ms. Marvel, the groundbreaking heroine that has become an international sensation!
Kamala Khan is an ordinary girl from Jersey City — until she’s suddenly empowered with extraordinary gifts. But who truly is the new Ms. Marvel? Teenager? Muslim? Inhuman? Find out as she takes the Marvel Universe by storm! When Kamala discovers the dangers of her newfound powers, she unlocks a secret behind them, as well. Is Kamala ready to wield these immense new gifts? Or will the weight of the legacy before her be too much to bear? Kamala has no idea, either. But she’s comin’ for you, Jersey!

For those who don’t know, I am a MAJOR superhero nerd. If there is one graphic novel that you should read, it most defiantly should be this one. Marvel NOW! gives a whole new perspective on the old female superheroes. The graphics are so detailed, you can loose yourself in all the little clues that reappear throughout the book. Our new generation needs books that show different religions and races, yet can still relate to ourselves and our lives. One that is both connected through the internet, yet can kick butt when it is needed.

Kamala Khan is an average 16 year old teenage Pakistani girl. She live a secluded life, controlled by her parents and her religion. Although she is a reckless spirit, her family tries to keep her grounded. That is until the mist arrives…

So I don’t want to spoil to much for anyone who is wanting to read this, and if you do you should tell me what you think of it. Also don’t forget to read the second one, Ms.Marvel: Generation Why.Another amazing book with beautifully done graphics.

As well, I also got my younger brother (who never, ever reads books) to read this, and he loved it. He thought it was hilarious how the girls love for the Avengers is shown throughout the graphics. He even went so far as to saying that Kamala reminds him of me, which is super sweet.

Until next time darlings,
