Don’t spread the word!
Three-day weekend. Party at White Rock House on Henry Island.
You do NOT want to miss it.

It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives—an exclusive house party on Henry Island. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their reasons for being there (which involve T.J., the school’s most eligible bachelor) and look forward to three glorious days of boys, booze and fun-filled luxury.

But what they expect is definitely not what they get, and what starts out as fun turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine.

Suddenly people are dying, and with a storm raging, the teens are cut off from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on each other, can Meg find the killer before more people die? Or is the killer closer to her than she could ever imagine?

Vengeance is mine; I will repay.

For the time when their foot shall slide. For the day of their disaster is near. And their doom comes swiftly.

Well it has been a long time since i found a book intriguing enough that I finished it in 3 days, but this book kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time. I love a remix on an old classic, this one being based off the original story ‘And Then There Were None’ by Agatha Christie.

Originally when this book first came out, the reviews were amazing and that is what drew me to it all those years ago. Just recently i purchased the book, but the reviews seemed very low. Many people rated the book as either a 1 or 2, even a good friend of mine who loves to review books as much as i do rated it a 1.

The story started off very well. There are ten teens all called to an island for a huge party, or so they think.Soon after one night on the island, bodies begin to pile up with no explanation. The only evidence they have is a DVD stating Vengeance is mine. Each person holds a secret that they would rather die then tell the others, which does end up happening. It is fast-passed and i loved how you didn’t know how did it till the very end. Sure you may have though it was one person, but my thoughts were completely wrong.

I plan on buying the Agatha Christie original version tonight, then I can compare and contrast the two books. Overall, I did really enjoy this book, but there were some parts in which i would have kept out as it seemed to be (as i refer to it as) book fluff. You know, where there are words that are there but are not really needed with the plot of the book.

Anyways, I hope everyone is having an amazing day. Read On!
